Auckland Kendo Club Incorporated

Auckland Kendo Club is a community hub for Kendo, Iaido and Naginata (Japanese Budo/Martial arts) practitioners. Our club is a registered Charities Services organisation.

The club was established in 1988 in Auckland and we accommodate approximately 85 members which represents more than 25 percent of New Zealand Kendo Federation members. Our membership ranges from 5 to 71 years old. We are the leading organisation for the New Zealand Kendo community and have connections with other martial arts clubs.

We attract a large number of Auckland’s ethic population, with Asian, Eastern European and Pacifica members making up 80 percent of our membership.
