Information and advice about language.
Report: Language and Integration in New Zealand (2013).
This report contributes to our understanding of the impact that the language skills of migrants have on their ability to participate in and contribute to New Zealand society. The report contains evidence about two key issues that are important for migrants who do not speak English as their first language: the relationship between English language ability and socio-economic success in New Zealand; and the relationship between acquiring proficiency in English and the retention of heritage languages.
